Membership of this valuable community organisation shows your support for
the Nhill Aviation Heritage Centre Inc, as it works towards achieving the following aims:
  • To highlight the significant role of aviation in the ongoing development of Nhill
  • To research and record the history of the RAAF Air School at Nhill from 1941-1946 within the broader context of Nhill’s aviation and aerodrome history
  • To collect Air School artefacts to display in secure premises
  • To acquire and restore an Avro Anson aeroplane and leave it as a legacy for the future
In just over a decade, remarkable progress has been made in fulfilling these purposes, notably through the acquisition and ongoing restoration of the Avro Anson aeroplane. A Wirraway, Tiger Moth, and Link Trainer are also on permanent display, along with memorabilia. The NAHC has hosted two fly-ins and two air shows, attracting thousands of visitors to Nhill each time.

The Nhill Aviation Heritage Centre, Inc., is recognised by the Hindmarsh Shire Council as a valuable community organisation. Together, the Shire and the NAHC are working to implement the  Nhill Aerodrome Master Plan, ensuring the aerodrome will continue to be an essential and viable asset for the community for future generations. We welcome your input.
